School Visits and Writing!I delivered a spooky story event, on Halloween, at the fabulous Hemsworth Library! What a pleasure to work with such talented people. Check out my Blog for details!
I'm very much looking forward to visiting the pupils from Years 5 and 6 at Richmond House School, in Leeds! We'll be exploring how to develop spooky atmosphere in stories - and some of the techniques I used in Firestorm Rising. There'll be lots of fun in the process, too; this will involve wigs and props! :)
The sequel to Firestorm Rising is having its final polishes and is purring, ready for release - watch this space! September 2018: Lots of News to Share! Such a lot has happened over the last couple of months! The long-awaited sequel to Firestorm Rising is reaching completion and (fingers crossed!) will be good to go for an early New Year release! This book picks up one year on from the first adventures of Tom, Jazz and Doc - and is packed full of thrilling adventures, scares, laughter and loads of spooky new characters. These pictures give you a teaser-hint about some of the weird goings-on that will be coming your way! Hmm... June 2017! I think it is high time I updated my website - so, hello, from a place beyond time and space! (Well, perhaps not that far). Sorry to have been away for so long; the teaching has been mega-busy, taking me on steep but enjoyable and rewarding learning curves - it is great to work with such talented students. This has taken up my time and energy - and still does to a major extent, but I'm getting there! There have been developments on the writing front too, which I'll go into more detail about in posts to come (and I will be more frequent with the updates!) I'll be back in touch soon about where news of my writing journey will be popping up - and also with news of my latest book, which has been years in the writing! Don't worry, the urge to write has never left me, so meantime, I'll leave you with a picture which is a teaser about my new one - the scariest Young Adult novel I've dreamed up so far. What can it mean?... 😲

A very Happy New Year to my readers! 2015 is going to be a fantastic year for you all - I can feel it in my bones! And as for my writing, this year is going to see the release of TWO new novels. A brand new and mega-spooky Young Adult book is cooking away nicely, but on a back-burner at the moment, as I finish writing the eagerly awaited sequel to Firestorm Rising.
